Parents’ evening at a nursery is a special event where mums, dads, and caregivers come to learn about how their little ones are doing at nursery. It usually happens in the evening so that parents can come after work.
When parents arrive, they are welcomed by our practitioners. The nursery is decorated with colourful artwork and projects that the children have made. This makes the place look cheerful and fun!
Parents then meet with their child’s key worker, who is a dedicated practitioner who knows their child very well. The key worker talks to the parents about what their child likes to do, how they are learning, and if they need help with anything. They share funny stories about the child’s day and show their progress in things like drawing, playing, and talking.
Sometimes, parents get to see videos or photos of their child at play, which makes them very happy. They can ask questions and share their thoughts too.
At the end of the meeting, parents feel proud and informed. They know more about how their child is growing and learning, and they leave with a big smile, looking forward to the next parents’ evening!
