Join our Board
We are actively recruiting mothers/fathers/carers to join the nursery’s Board of Trustees. Our community nursery is a registered not-for-profit charity that does not have an owner but is run by a voluntary Board of Trustees.
We are always keen to recruit new Board members, we need your support, as parents of children at our nursery to help ensure that Osborne House continues to improve and grow in the future.
This volunteering position provides an opportunity to play an active and rewarding role in the stewardship of the nursery, involving:
- business planning
- financial planning
- other decisions that contribute to a successful and vibrant nursery.
The board meets approx. every eight weeks to discuss nursery matters with the Management Team.
As part of this commitment, volunteers are required to :
- complete a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) enhanced disclosure check
- register with Ofsted
- complete safeguarding training
- provide references
