Honey Bears
This room is located on the second floor of the Nursery premises. Children within this room are approximately aged between 16 months – 2 years.
A daily routine is followed in this room, however the staff will continue to respect and follow individual routines with regards to sleeping.
Honey Bears is a single open space, which is carpeted throughout apart from an area of linoleum.
The linoleum area is used at meal times as a feeding area and for messy play. Children are seated together to make meal times a social occasion.
Children are taken to use our bathroom facilities, located on the same level, when appropriate for nappy changing and toilet/potty training. Children are taken to hand wash over the course of the day.

My son has attended Osbourne House since he was 9 months old and will do until he starts school next year. It’s been an amazing privilege to watch him grow through each room and become the little boy he is thanks to the attentive, kind and fun members of staff he’s grown up with. He has created such lovely bonds with the nursery staff and they can’t be thanked enough for the hard work they do. It’s difficult putting your trust into other people to look after your child when working full time, but I’ve always known from the day we went to look at Osbourne that it is a warm, friendly place and staff do genuinely care about your child’s development. Updates are sent through Tapestry and so much effort goes on behind the scenes to keep the children engaged and learning about new things. Everyone has always listened to any concerns or questions I have and made me feel understood. Osbourne will be sadly missed when preparing for school does eventually come round.
Having had a baby during the pandemic we were left in the situation of trying to pick a nursery without being able to tour any. From the outset the communications with Osborne House Community Nursery have been reassuring, informative and friendly.
My child has been with them from a young age and they have made nursery a part of his life an routine and he loves and gets exited to go. The staff cannot be commended enough for their approach and dedication to the children. Well done and when he leaves to join mainstream school will be a sad day. Absolute superstars.
Our daughter started nursery In March and she loves it! Since starting nursery her confidence has grown. She has a wonderful relationship with all staff members and had the other children within her room. All the staff members are very approachable and kind. We get regular updates throughout the day which is very reassuring when you’re at work. A big thank you to all the staff, we couldn’t ask for anything more 10/10.
