Our Board of Trustees

  • Join our Board

Contribute to a successful and vibrant nursery
  • We are actively recruiting parents, carers & grandparents to join the nursery’s Board of Trustees.

Our community nursery is a registered not-for-profit charity that does not have an owner but is run by a voluntary Board of Trustees.

This volunteering position provides an opportunity to play an active and rewarding role in the stewardship of the nursery.

We are always keen to recruit new board members, we need your support, as parents of children at our nursery to help ensure that Osborne House continues to improve and grow in the future.

  • The nursery’s board convenes approximately every eight weeks for discussions with the Management Team.

These regular meetings focus on critical aspects of nursery operations and development. The board and management collaborate on three main areas: business planning, financial planning, and other key decisions that contribute to the nursery’s success and vibrancy.

This frequent interaction ensures that the nursery can adapt to changing needs or circumstances. The collaborative approach between the board and Management Team fosters a well-rounded perspective on nursery matters, combining strategic vision with day-to-day operational insights.

Ultimately, these meetings play a crucial role in steering the nursery towards success, ensuring its financial health, and maintaining a vibrant, engaging environment for children, staff, and families.
