We also have 13 fully qualified Early Years Practitioners, who all hold at least NVQ 3 in childcare and Education or its equivalent and 5 Early Years Apprentice Assistants who are working towards completing NVQ 3 in childcare and Education
Osborne House Community Nursery is a registered charity and a non-profit making organisation. The Board are comprised of parents of children at Nursery and parents of children who have left and therefore have a vested interest in the wellbeing of the setting.
Our team is aware that children’s early years are the foundation to future well-being and learning. We provide an enjoyable, stimulating and safe, home from home environment for all children who attend our Nursery.
Our staff team are committed to giving each individual child the best possible start by working in partnership with mothers/fathers and carers.
Practitioners use their knowledge and experience of child development to plan activities and experiences to encourage and enhance learning for all individual children.
Our governing body (Ofsted) establishes statutory requirements for training; we are committed to ensuring that these requirements are adhered to. We are also committed to continuous professional development, highlighted through evaluating practice and staff appraisals, to improve outcomes for the provision, children and their families.
We are committed to continually evaluating and improving our practice, the whole staff team, mothers/fathers/carers and where possible the children are involved in this process.
Our experienced staff are carefully chosen to provide quality childcare. We are committed to safeguarding all children at Osborne House Community Nursery and as a result all our staff have undergone extensive suitability checks including:
- Evaluating interview question responses
- CRB checks (Criminal Record Bureau)
- References and I.D. checks
