Osborne House Community Nursery is a charity run by a Board of Trustees, most of whom are parents/carers of children at the nursery - all are volunteers. The Board of Trustees meet approximately every six weeks and have an annual general meeting once a year. Meetings are usually held at the nursery on Thursday evenings. The Board also keep in touch and communicate with the nursery management by e-mail to resolve issues and make decisions. As a charity all profits are put back into the nursery to further its objectives, which are as follows:
a) To provide a welcoming, secure, happy and stimulating environment to enable children to grow and learn.
b) To encourage all children to become confident, independent and enable them to develop their full potential.
c) To work in partnership with all parents, carers and other agencies & with the wider community for the benefit of all our children and their families.
d) To ensure a smooth transition from home to nursery for all children and provide a firm foundation for future lifelong learning.
e) To value and embrace diversity within our nursery and the wider community, so that everyone feels welcome.
Current trustees are:
Robert Gower (Chair)
Louis Farrington (Secretary)
Angie Savas (Treasurer)
Rebecca Martin Black
The names and photographs of all trustees are displayed on the notice board in the lobby of the main nursery building. Issues or suggestions from parents should be directed to the nursery management team in the first instance who - if necessary - will discuss with the Board.
